Bears sighted near residential areas in Argeș, Romania

Bears have been reported near residential areas in several locations within Argeș County, Romania. Authorities issued RO-Alert emergency messages to warn residents in localities including Valea Mare Pravăț, Dârmănești, Valea Iașului, Cepari, Dâmbovicioara, and Coșești.

Emergency intervention teams from ISU Argeș, alongside other relevant institutions, were deployed to the affected areas to manage the situation and ensure public safety. Authorities have advised citizens to avoid contact with the animals, refrain from approaching them for photos or videos, and not attempt to feed them. Residents are encouraged to stay indoors and avoid the signaled areas until authorities have completed their interventions.
