Beñat Fernández wins 2026 MotoGP Rookies Cup

Spanish rider Beñat Fernández has won the 2026 MotoGP Rookies Cup title following the season finale at the Red Bull Ring in Austria. Fernández secured the championship by a five-point margin over fellow Spaniard Fernando Bujosa.

In the decisive final race, Fernández finished in 5th place, while Bujosa finished 6th. The victory marks a significant achievement for the 18-year-old from Andoain, who also won the Supersport 300 world championship in 2025, making him a two-time world champion in consecutive seasons. Fernández's win continues a streak of five consecutive Spanish champions in the Rookies Cup.

David González won the final race, followed by Fynn Kratochwil and Kristian Daniel. Fernández has already confirmed his move to the Moto3 World Championship.
