Beata Szydło to take key role at Law and Justice convention
Beata Szydło, the former Prime Minister of Poland, is set to take on a prominent role within the Law and Justice (PiS) party during an upcoming convention in Krakow. Following the departure of Mateusz Morawiecki from the party, Szydło is expected to strengthen her position and play a key part in the party's upcoming electoral pre-campaign.
Reports indicate that Szydło will be appointed as the head of the PiS delegation to the European Parliament, succeeding Adam Bielan. The announcement is expected to coincide with the convention, which will also feature speakers such as party leader Jarosław Kaczyński and Prime Ministerial candidate Przemysław Czarnek.
This political move is viewed as a strategic effort to rebuild the party's image by leveraging Szydło's previous high levels of social trust and her strong performance in European Parliament elections.
