Beatles and rock legends honored in Mexico City musical tributes

Mexico City is hosting several musical tributes to legendary artists. The Liverpool Ensamble will perform “Sinfonía para cuatro de Liverpool” at the Centro Nacional de las Artes on August 14. Directed by Alberto Eduardo Franco, the performance features 13 Beatles classics reinterpreted through jazz and classical arrangements, including “All You Need Is Love” and “Imagine.” The symphonic program was adapted by pianist Ricard Miralles and will be performed by ten instrumentalists, a tenor, and a soprano.

Additionally, a tribute event featuring various musical icons is scheduled in the capital. The program includes Grupo Morsa, a Beatles tribute band, and Estefan Jackson, an imitator of Michael Jackson. The event also celebrates the 66-year career of the Mexican rock and roll group Los Hermanos Carrión, alongside a tribute to Elvis Presley by Tony Elvis Segura.
