Beatpatrol Festival in Vienna faces major delays and lineup cuts
The opening day of the Beatpatrol Festival at the Galopprennbahn Freudenau in Vienna was marked by significant delays and organizational issues. Attendees faced nearly seven hours of waiting, as gates that were scheduled to open at 14:00 were repeatedly delayed until approximately 20:30.
Due to the late start, the musical program was severely reduced. Only three acts—Yousuke Yukimatsu, Charlotte de Witte, and Timmy Trumpet—performed before the scheduled end of the day at 23:00. Several other artists, including Miss Monique and DJ Dorah, reported that they were unable to perform due to circumstances beyond their control or unresolved organizational problems.
The organizers cited “logistical reasons” for the disruptions and issued apologies via social media. In response to the experience, many festival-goers, who paid approximately 90 euros per ticket, are seeking refunds. Concerns regarding the second day of the festival have also emerged, with some artists already canceling their appearances due to a lack of communication from the organizers.
