Beatrice Egli discusses bodyshaming and future travel plans
Swiss Schlager singer Beatrice Egli has spoken openly about her experiences with bodyshaming and her journey toward self-acceptance. In an interview on ‘Gredig direkt’, the 38-year-old singer described experiencing criticism regarding her appearance ‘in a brutal way’ and ‘on her own body’. She noted that self-love is a lifelong process, especially as the body naturally changes with age.
Egli, who rose to fame after winning ‘Deutschland sucht den Superstar’ in 2013, characterized the societal tendency to judge appearances as a ‘societal thing’. She emphasized that her body is healthy and that she is learning to view it with more understanding despite external pressures to conform to beauty ideals.
In addition to discussing her personal growth, Egli shared updates regarding her career and future plans. She is currently on her ‘Tanzen – Lachen – Leben’ tour, which includes a performance in Düsseldorf. Looking ahead, the singer expressed a desire to take a significant break from her professional activities to embark on a world tour to experience different cultures and perspectives.
