Valencia proclaims Beatriz Blanco and Julia Vizcayno as Falleras Mayores 2027

Beatriz Blanco Tamarit and Julia Vizcayno Orero have been officially proclaimed the Falleras Mayores of Valencia for 2027. The announcement was made by Mayor María José Catalá during the traditional ‘Telefonada’ ceremony, where the winners were notified via a vintage telephone.

Beatriz Blanco, a 24-year-old industrial organization engineer from the Castelló-Segorbe commission, expressed that the festival represents home, family, and tradition. Julia Vizcayno, a 9-year-old student from the Rosari-Plaça Calabuig commission, delivered an emotional speech describing the festivities as a dream come true.

The proclamation ceremony took place at the Valencia City Council, attended by the outgoing 2026 Falleras Mayores, representatives of sister festivals from Alicante and Castellón, and various civic personalities. The event marks the beginning of their reign, coinciding with the tenth anniversary of the Fallas being declared a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
