Beatriz Chávez Vicentelo appointed Health Secretary for Arica y Parinacota

Beatriz Chávez Vicentelo has been officially appointed as the new Regional Ministerial Secretary of Health for the Arica y Parinacota region. A medical technologist with a master's degree in Public Health, Chávez Vicentelo previously served as the regional health authority between 2019 and 2021, during which she led regional COVID-19 strategies.

Her new mandate focuses on strengthening regional public health through enhanced sanitary inspections, epidemiological surveillance, and efficient resource management. Regional authorities noted her extensive background in public service, including her previous role as head of the Department of Environmental and Occupational Public Health Laboratory.
