Beatriz Rosário to debut musical trilogy with modern fado

Portuguese artist Beatriz Rosário is set to release a musical trilogy by the end of the year. Developed in Coimbra, the project explores themes of identity, memory, and personal transformation through a conceptual journey across the past, present, and future.

The first chapter, titled ‘O Meu Fado’, is scheduled for release this coming Friday. Produced by MIGZ and Ariel, the track blends traditional Portuguese musical elements with contemporary production to bridge different generations. The song, co-written with Ella Nor, incorporates the words of Fernando Pessoa, which are recited by the artist's mother at the beginning of the track.

Moving away from the traditionally melancholic associations of fado, Rosário describes the piece as a song of hope and overcoming, focusing on Portuguese identity and personal acceptance.
