Beau Coppens debuts with band The Unexpected at Tien Om Te Zien

Beau Coppens, the 18-year-old son of Staf Coppens, made his musical debut on the large stage of the Tien Om Te Zien festival in Middelkerke on July 15. Performing with his band, The Unexpected, Beau joined Swedish bandmates Gustaf Ericsson and Noa Wiman to present their first original song, titled ‘Bara du’.

The band's origins trace back to when Beau moved to Sweden at the age of twelve, where he met his bandmates. While they initially played covers, they transitioned into original music, blending their diverse backgrounds. Their debut track is primarily in Dutch but incorporates Swedish lyrics in the chorus. The song explores the theme of first summer love.
