Beautiful Pain film promotes female empowerment and resilience
The film ‘Beautiful Pain’, produced by Nikita Mirzani, is being released to highlight the struggles and courage of women facing major life transitions. The story follows Niken, a mother of two played by Raihaanun, who decides to end an unhealthy marriage with her husband, Dirga, played by Baim Wong. The narrative focuses on her journey to rebuild her life, adapt to new economic realities, and support her children as a single parent.
During a press conference in Jakarta, Nikita Mirzani expressed her desire to inspire Indonesian women to take risks and defend themselves, noting that the film represents all women who fight for their independence. Although Mirzani could not attend promotional events in person due to ongoing legal sentencing, she shared a message via video emphasizing that being a widow or single mother should not be a source of shame.
In Medan, a special screening at Cinepolis Plaza Medan Fair sold out, reflecting strong audience interest in the family drama produced by Dapur Film and Hanung Bramantyo.
