Beauty and skincare trends in Brazil

Recent discussions in the Brazilian beauty sector highlight various methods for skin camouflage and temporary aesthetic enhancements. Specialist Fabiana Avesani notes that micropigmentation can be used to camouflage white spots, such as guttate leukoderma, which is often linked to aging and sun exposure. However, she emphasizes that this procedure only provides visual camouflage rather than restoring natural pigmentation, and a dermatological diagnosis is essential before proceeding.

Additionally, facial adhesive tapes are gaining popularity as a temporary, low-cost alternative to Botox for certain visual effects. Unlike botulinum toxin, which works by affecting muscle contraction, these tapes provide mechanical traction to pull the skin surface temporarily. While they can offer a quick lifting effect for photos or events, experts warn that they do not share the same clinical mechanism or duration as professional medical procedures and may cause skin irritation if used improperly.
