Beauty products at Lidl receive high ratings from Yuka app

Several beauty and hygiene products sold at Lidl have received high scores from the Yuka application, which analyzes product compositions. Notable high-rated items include the Cien waterproof eye makeup remover, which achieved a perfect score of 100/100, and the Cien men eye roll-on with a score of 96/100.

Other recommended products include Cien's 3-in-1 daily exfoliating cleanser (98/100), Sanex hypoallergenic shower gel (93/100), and Intima extra gentle intimate wash (93/100). Mixa and Cien day creams both received scores of 86/100.

This consumer guidance comes amid changing cosmetic regulations in France. Starting in 2026, France will implement a ban on PFAS (perfluoroalkylated substances) in cosmetics, forcing brands to reformulate products such as long-wear foundations and waterproof primers. Additionally, European restrictions on microplastics are being phased in, affecting exfoliants and makeup formulas.
