Beauty Summit 2 focuses on scientific cosmetic selection

The Beauty Summit 2 was held in Antalya, bringing together doctors, academics, beauty experts, and industry representatives to discuss current developments in the beauty and personal care sectors.

Representing the Near East University Vocational School, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yeşim Üstün delivered a presentation titled ‘Correct Product, Correct Skin: A Conscious Approach to Cosmetic Selection’. Her presentation emphasized the importance of correctly identifying skin types, understanding product ingredients, and choosing cosmetics that meet specific skin needs to ensure safe applications. She highlighted that professionals must possess sufficient knowledge regarding product contents and their effects on the skin, rather than focusing solely on application techniques.

The summit also served as a platform for the introduction of Dr. Üstün’s second book, ‘Beauty and Beyond’. The book approaches beauty through the lenses of science, education, personal care, and professional practice.
