Beauty trends highlight blush tailoring and finger-application techniques

New makeup trends and application techniques are gaining popularity in the beauty community. One emerging method, known as ‘blush tailoring’, was popularized by makeup educator Rose Siard. This technique involves mixing a cream or liquid blush with a small amount of concealer or foundation that matches the user's skin tone. The goal is to customize the color to the individual's specific undertones, creating a softer, more natural effect where the color appears to emerge from beneath the skin rather than sitting as a separate layer.

Additionally, there is a renewed focus on using fingers for applying liquid foundation, particularly for lightweight formulas, skin tints, and serum-based products. Proponents suggest that using fingers allows for better control over product quantity and helps the product melt into the skin more effectively than brushes or sponges. This method is noted for helping to avoid heavy buildup in pores and fine lines, resulting in a thinner, more seamless finish.
