Beauty trends shift toward intentional textures and earthy tones
New makeup trends are shifting the beauty industry away from traditional perfection and toward more intentional, textured looks. One emerging trend, known as ‘sleepy girl makeup’, focuses on highlighting the area under the eyes using soft shadows and reddish tones. Rather than using concealer to hide dark circles, this technique uses shadow to create depth and alter facial expressions, embracing a less uniform appearance.
Another trend, termed ‘antiblush’, moves away from vibrant pink cheeks in favor of earthy brown tones. This approach uses strategic application of browns to create dimension, blurring the lines between blush, bronzer, and contour. Instead of a saturated flush, the goal is to provide depth that complements the skin's undertone, often resulting in a more contained, bronzed effect.
