In addition to minimalist trends, color theory is playing a significant role in makeup application. Specifically, purple blush is gaining popularity due to its ability to interact with skin undertones. Because purple is complementary to yellow on the color wheel, it can either provide a striking contrast on warm skin tones or be blended into yellowish makeup to neutralize discoloration and create a more neutral base.
