Beaver Falls Region 6 American Legion baseball tournament: Smithfield falls, Belle Vernon advances

Smithfield‑Fairchance lost 4‑1 to Blackhawk in the opening game of the Region 6 American Legion Baseball Tournament at Chippewa Park in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. Pitcher Kaiden Brady carried a no‑hitter through three innings before Blackhawk rallied in the sixth inning to take the lead.

A day later, Belle Vernon defeated Blackhawk 4‑2, moving within one win of the Region 6 title. JB Crovak earned the win for Belle Vernon, which now faces Baden in the championship game and a berth in the state tournament at Bowman Field in Williamsport. The tournament runs from July 25‑29.

Both games were part of the same regional youth baseball competition held in Beaver Falls.
