Beaver Local girls soccer maintains winning streak

The Beaver Local girls soccer team continues its strong season, recently securing a 5-1 victory over United and a 3-1 win against Steubenville Big Red. In the match against Steubenville, junior Peyton Dunn, the school’s all-time leading goal scorer, recorded two goals, while sophomore Leah Stewart contributed one goal and one assist.

Following a state semifinal appearance last season, the team has transitioned to Division III in Ohio and Class 5A in the OVAC. Coach Liz Connor noted that while the offense remains highly experienced, the team is focused on building chemistry with a new defensive arrangement. The Beavers currently hold a 7-1 or 8-1 record depending on the specific match reporting.
