Bebizie Sri Mulyati questioned by KPK in coal bribery case

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) questioned Bebizie Sri Mulyati, a member of the Jakarta Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), as a witness on Thursday, August 13, 2026. The examination took place at the KPK Red and White Building in Jakarta.

Bebizie is being questioned in connection with an investigation into alleged gratification related to coal production in Kutai Kartanegara, East Kalimantan. This case involves the former Regent of Kutai Kartanegara, Rita Widyasari. The investigation has expanded to include suspected fund flows from the coal mining sector to Widyasari, estimated at approximately 5 US dollars per metric ton of coal.

In addition to Bebizie, the KPK scheduled examinations for an attorney identified by the initials NE and a staff member from PT Alamjaya Bara Pratama identified as AM. As of February 2026, the KPK has named three corporations as suspects in this case: PT Sinar Kumala Naga, PT Alamjaya Bara Pratama, and PT Bara Kumala Sakti.
