Bełchatów hospital acquires da Vinci Xi surgical robot
A hospital in Bełchatów has acquired a da Vinci Xi robotic system, supplied by Synektik, to assist surgeons during operations. The equipment, purchased for 11 million PLN, provides a magnified 3D view of the surgical field and allows for high-precision tool movement.
According to Agnieszka Krystek from the Łódź Voivodeship Marshal's Office, the robot is intended to support surgeons rather than replace them, helping to minimize tissue damage and reduce patient recovery times through smaller incisions. The investment is part of a broader healthcare budget for the Łódź region, which includes 256 million PLN allocated for health protection in 2026.
