Bełchatów implements youth engagement and sports initiatives

Local organizations and youth representatives in Bełchatów are launching various initiatives aimed at improving social, cultural, and physical engagement for the city's younger population.

The KIBICE RAZEM GKS Bełchatów center, operated by the Stowarzyszenie Sympatyków GKS Bełchatów „Torfiorze”, has been active since 2017. Utilizing a partnership model involving the Ministry of Sport and Tourism, the Polish Football Association, and local authorities, the center focuses on prevention and promoting healthy lifestyles to reduce screen time among children. Programs such as the Bełchatów Sports Day encourage physical activity and social interaction through fair play and teamwork.

Simultaneously, the Municipal Youth Council held its ninth session to discuss expanding cultural and educational offerings. The council is collaborating with the Municipal Cultural Center to develop new workshops and events tailored to youth interests. Additionally, the council is planning a poetry recitation competition in partnership with the Municipal and District Public Library, targeted at students in grades VII and VIII. To ensure these programs meet local needs, the council plans to conduct surveys in schools regarding sports, culture, and urban life.
