Bełchatów launches climate‑adaptation survey for residents
The city of Bełchatów has opened an anonymous online questionnaire that runs until 8 August. The poll asks inhabitants to share observations on heat waves, intense rainfalls, local flooding, lack of green shade and other climate‑related challenges. Responses will help shape the Municipal Climate Adaptation Plan, outlining investment and spatial measures to protect infrastructure and improve daily comfort.
The survey takes about eight to ten minutes and includes closed‑question items as well as space for respondents to pinpoint specific neighborhoods or locations needing attention. Proposed actions under consideration include rain gardens, retention basins and new pocket parks. The city stresses that resident input is crucial for prioritising climate‑resilience projects.
