Bełchatów launches new fitness and employment support programs

In Bełchatów, Poland, new local initiatives are launching to support community health and employment. The MOSiR ‘Activate with MOSiR’ fitness program is beginning a new season on September 14, featuring expanded class offerings such as ‘Abs and Glutes’ and ‘Body&Mind’. The program has also upgraded its facilities at the Helena Ice Rink, adding a second fitness room to accommodate more participants and a wider variety of exercises.

Simultaneously, a socially useful work program for unemployed residents is set to begin on September 3. Ten participants will engage in cleaning, maintenance, and minor renovation tasks across ten municipal facilities, including kindergartens, a museum, and social assistance centers. The program, funded jointly by the Bełchatów City Hall and the District Labor Office, aims to help individuals gain professional experience and reintegrate into the labor market. Participants will work up to 10 hours per week and receive a non-taxable hourly rate of 31.40 PLN.
