Bełchatów residents demand ban on electric scooters

Residents of Bełchatów are calling for a ban on electric scooters following a series of dangerous incidents on city streets. A recent poll of 535 residents showed overwhelming support for the measure, with 501 people voting in favor of a ban to improve public safety.

Local authorities have stated they are monitoring the situation. Kryspina Rogowska, spokesperson for the Bełchatów City Hall, noted that while a ban is not yet implemented, the city is considering such solutions to ensure residents can safely use sidewalks and parks, citing Białystok as a precedent where scooter restrictions were introduced in specific zones.
