Bechtle acquires Kaut-Bullinger 3D printing business

Bechtle has acquired the 3D printing business unit of Kaut-Bullinger GmbH & Co. KG through an asset deal. The transaction includes customer relationships, specialized personnel, manufacturer contracts, and a significant portion of the existing installed system base.

The acquisition is specifically aimed at strengthening Bechtle’s position in the HP Multi Jet Fusion market within Germany. By absorbing Kaut-Bullinger’s business, Bechtle also expands its reach into the Austrian 3D printing market, providing additional services to HP customers in both regions.

Strategically, the move shifts Bechtle’s focus toward generating recurring revenue from the lifecycle of industrial 3D printing systems. This includes maintenance, technical support, Care Packs, and the supply of materials. Kaut-Bullinger is exiting the 3D printing sector as part of a broader strategic reorganization.
