Beck releases new single ‘Disappearing Act’ ahead of upcoming album
Musician Beck has released his new single, ‘Disappearing Act’, which serves as the third preview for his upcoming studio album, ‘Ride Lonesome’. Scheduled for release on September 18 via Capitol Records, the album marks his first full studio project since 2019’s ‘Hyperspace’.
Produced by Beck, the album features mixing by Nigel Godrich. The recording process involved a reunion with longtime collaborators, including Smoky Hormel, Joey Waronker, Justin Meldal-Johnsen, Roger Joseph Manning Jr., and Jason Falkner. The group recorded at United Recording’s Room B in Hollywood.
Beck noted that while the musical direction revisits familiar territory, the chemistry between the musicians has deepened over the decade since they last recorded ‘Morning Phase’. The 12-track album follows the previously released singles ‘Into the Night’ and the title track ‘Ride Lonesome’. A North American tour is planned for September 2026.
