Beck to release new album ‘Ride Lonesome’ on September 18

Musician Beck is set to release his 15th studio album, ‘Ride Lonesome’, on September 18. The new record marks his first release of all-new material since ‘Hyperspace’ and features the reunion of the band members who worked on his previous acclaimed albums, including ‘Sea Change’ and ‘Morning Phase’.

For the Japanese release, an exclusive paper jacket edition will include liner notes by Masafumi Gotoh of ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION. An excerpt of these notes was recently released, in which Gotoh describes how Beck’s album ‘Mellow Gold’ provided musical salvation during his difficult youth in Tokyo.

The production involved longtime collaborator Nigel Godrich, who mixed all tracks. To celebrate the launch, a release party will be held at Tower Records Shibuya in Tokyo on the day of the release.
