Becky Jones sues NHS Trust after 11 years of unnecessary chemotherapy
Becky Jones, a British woman, underwent 11 years of chemotherapy after being misdiagnosed with an aggressive grade four glioblastoma. At age 21, she was told she had only months to live, leading to over a decade of treatment with temozolomide and significant side effects, including nausea, fatigue, and physical restrictions.
Now 34 and a mother of two, Jones discovered she never actually had brain cancer. Her case is among more than 40 patients who have initiated legal action against the University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust (UHCW) regarding oncology treatments deemed prolonged or unnecessary.
