Úbeda reinforces support for Walking Football to promote active aging

The Úbeda City Council is strengthening its support for the local Walking Football team to promote active aging among the city's elderly population. Sports Councilor Francisco Javier Lozano recently met with team members to reaffirm the municipal government's commitment to diverse sporting models that cater to the specific needs of seniors.

To support the team's growth, the Council is providing resources including new training gear and balls, as well as free access to sports facilities during off-peak hours. The team is currently preparing for upcoming competitions, including the I Alcaldesa Walking Football Trophy on September 17 against Rayo Majadahonda, and the I Feria Walking Football Trophy on September 26 during the San Miguel festivities.
