Bedenec opens renovated Ethno House and inaugural Kelembar fest

On September 5, 2026, the renovated Ethno House was officially opened in Bedenec, accompanied by the inaugural Kelembar fest – Festival of Clay and Fire. The event was organized by the City of Ivanec, the Mountaineering Museum, the Tourist Board of the City of Ivanec, and the UKS Bedenec.

The festivities included various open-air workshops focused on pottery and clay modeling for different age groups, including sessions for kindergarteners and primary school students. Local artisans and potters from the Petrinja Ceramic Studio and Keramika Mecena demonstrated traditional techniques, such as using pottery wheels.

A theatrical performance titled ‘Na mijeni’ was held in front of the Ethno House to commemorate the region's historical pottery traditions. The wooden Ethno House, which was funded entirely by the budget of the City of Ivanec, was officially opened by Mayor Milorad Batinić.
