Bedri Hamza visits families of convicted KLA leaders

Bedri Hamza, chairman of the PDK, has visited the families of former KLA leaders Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, and Jakup Krasniqi following their convictions by the Special Court. The visits follow the September 16 ruling where the court found the four individuals guilty of war crimes, including unlawful detention, torture, and murder, resulting in a combined 81 years of imprisonment. Hashim Thaçi and Jakup Krasniqi received 25 years each, Kadri Veseli received 18 years, and Rexhep Selimi received 13 years, including time served in pre-trial detention.

In response to social media criticism regarding his choice of visits, Hamza clarified that he has also reached out to the family of Rexhep Selimi, a former Vetëvendosje deputy, and intends to meet them when possible. Hamza stated that the fight for justice and freedom will continue until the return of the last freedom fighter to the homeland. The case remains subject to appeal procedures in the Court of Appeals.
