Bedri Rahmi Koyu attracts 1,500 daily visitors to historic rock carving

Bedri Rahmi Koyu, located in the Dalaman district of Muğla, has become a major attraction for tourists due to a fish figure carved into a rock by painter, poet, and writer Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu in 1974.

As a popular stop for daily boat tours departing from Göcek, the bay attracts approximately 1,500 people per day during the season who visit to take photographs in front of the artwork. The area, formerly known as Taşyaka, is characterized by its clear waters, calm atmosphere, and nearby historical rock tombs.

Because there is no direct road access, visitors reach the bay via private boats or organized tours that typically last about eight hours. Local boat operator Ahmet Tombak noted that the site is a primary destination for tourists, particularly those arriving from the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Germany, and Russia.
