Bedri Yalçın proposes new leadership model for TFF

Bedri Yalçın, Chairman of the Anadolu Birliği Partisi (ABP), has called for a change in the management approach of the Turkish Football Federation (TFF). Yalçın criticized the current administration, specifically addressing comments made by TFF President İbrahim Ethem Hacıosmanoğlu regarding long-standing issues in Turkish football.

Hacıosmanoğlu previously stated that decades-old problems should not be attributed to his current two-year term. Yalçın responded by arguing that the TFF presidency is a public office and cannot be treated as a personal domain.

As an alternative, Yalçın proposed adopting the management model of Mehmet Akif Üstündağ, the President of the Turkish Volleyball Federation and Chair of the FIVB Volleyball Council. Yalçın suggested that Üstündağ’s approach to infrastructure, sponsorship, and international representation could provide the stability and unifying leadership currently lacking in Turkish football.
