Bečej to host Saint Stephen Day celebrations

The Petefi Sándor Hungarian Cultural Society and the Bečej Municipal Tourism Organization are organizing a traditional two-day celebration for Saint Stephen Day on August 22 and 23.

The program includes a welcome concert by folk choirs, a ceremonial mass, and various musical performances, including an operetta gala by the Megarox troupe and concerts by Imi Časnji and pop singer Heni Der. The festivities will conclude with a fireworks display.

The second day features a cooking competition where teams compete using beef, alongside a children's program involving creative workshops, games, and a concert by the Hungarian children's band Iszkiri. A handicraft fair and food stalls will also be available throughout the event.
