Beem Foundation allocates $400,000 in grants to community groups across British Columbia

The Beem Foundation announced a $400,000 grant program for more than 45 charitable organisations operating in British Columbia. Grants of up to $10,000 are aimed at practical community needs, with funding directed toward four priority areas: helping kids and youth thrive, supporting household stability, improving access to care and crisis response, and building belonging, learning and inclusion.

Foundation Vice President Corinne Johnson said, “Focused grants have a big impact… often the most meaningful solutions are practical ones like removing a barrier, expanding access, or helping someone feel heard and supported at the right moment.” One recipient, the Upper Clearwater Volunteer Fire Brigade Society, will use its $10,000 award for the Schaer Fire Hall building fund. Other examples of funded projects include youth mental‑health spaces, food‑security programs and seniors’ meal services.
