Beetebuerg communal council approves school and social reforms
The Beetebuerg communal council has approved several administrative and infrastructural measures during its May 22, 2026, meeting.
Regarding education, the council approved the school organization for the 2026/2027 academic year. The plan anticipates approximately 1,063 students across three campuses, with 56% being Luxembourgish nationals and 44% foreign nationals. Additionally, the council modified regulations concerning student and pupil bonuses to better align with current evaluation methods.
In terms of social policy, the council updated regulations for the attribution of communal social allocations. These are available to households residing in the commune who receive a cost-of-living allowance from the National Solidarity Fund.
Infrastructure and community recognition were also addressed. The council approved budgets for reinforcing the drinking water network and sewage connections on Route de Mondorf, totaling over 1.1 million euros. Furthermore, a list of meritorious athletes was approved for recognition at an upcoming awards ceremony on July 7, 2026.
