Begovo Razdolje receives first seasonal snowfall

The first snowfall of the season has arrived in the highest parts of Croatia. Begovo Razdolje, the country's highest inhabited settlement located at 1,078 meters above sea level, recorded approximately 20 centimeters of snow.

Other high-altitude areas also saw accumulation, including 12 centimeters on Zavižan and snow cover on Plat near Rijeka and within the Gorski Kotar region. Residents in Begovo Razdolje reported having to clear paths to their homes earlier than usual this year.

Local residents noted that the early November snow is not unexpected for the area. While temperatures rose to around three degrees Celsius during the day, causing some snow to turn into rain, forecasts suggest the snow may not persist through the upcoming weekend.
