Behaviour Interactive announces major Dead by Daylight overhaul
Behaviour Interactive has announced a major systemic overhaul for Dead by Daylight to simplify and streamline the game after ten years of development. The studio plans to reduce the complexity of various systems, including add-ons, perks, and progression paths, potentially opting for fewer but more impactful items.
Key upcoming features include a communication chat wheel for survivors, expected this autumn, to help players communicate intentions quickly in the 1-vs-4 mode. The studio is also developing Killer bots for custom matches, working on map generation, and planning more sophisticated quests.
Further updates will target older content, such as a rework of the Swamp realm and specific killers like the Skull Merchant. While a match-replay feature is being considered, the studio noted it is technically demanding and will be addressed only after the primary update is implemented.
