Beheira Governor inspects water and sewage infrastructure projects

As part of Beheira Governorate’s 219th National Day celebrations, Governor Jacqueline Azer has inspected and inaugurated several major infrastructure and community development projects.

In Kafr El Dawar, expansion works are underway at the Al-Harir Al-Sina'i residential area water station. This project, part of the presidential ‘Decent Life’ initiative, aims to increase production capacity from 90,000 to 160,000 cubic meters per day to improve service stability and address water pressure issues in several vital areas.

In Edko, the Governor inaugurated the Al-Maadiya sewage treatment plant, a project costing approximately 400 million Egyptian pounds. The development includes a treatment plant with a capacity of 3,000 cubic meters per day, a lifting station, and 18 kilometers of networks serving Al-Maadiya and surrounding villages such as Zarzara, Toto, Zaitoun, and Al-Halawani.

Additionally, the Governor attended the closing ceremony of summer activities at the Edko International Park. The program provided various educational and skill-building workshops for children, including robotics, digital technology, and agriculture, to foster talent and positive engagement during the summer months.
