Beheira Governor reviews social welfare and market regulation efforts

Beheira Governor Jacqueline Azer has held meetings to review social welfare initiatives and oversee market regulatory enforcement within the governorate.

During a meeting with the Beheira branch of the National Alliance for Civil Development Work, the Governor discussed ongoing and future efforts to support vulnerable families. Key activities reported include organizing medical convoys, providing in-kind aid, constructing wooden roofs, and establishing water connections in needy villages. Future plans involve continued medical support and educational assistance, such as paying school fees and distributing school bags for primary and preparatory students.

In a separate regulatory effort, the Beheira Directorate of Supply and Internal Trade conducted inspections across several centers, including Damanhour, Badr, and Wadi El Natrun. These campaigns resulted in the seizure of 8,450 liters of diesel intended for the black market, 71 packages of unknown pesticides, and various expired or unauthorized goods. Authorities also closed unlicensed bakeries and gas warehouses, and addressed violations regarding price labeling and food safety.
