Beicha village festival attack leaves nine injured in Saxony

A violent assault occurred during a traditional October party in Beicha, a small village near Döbeln in Saxony, resulting in nine injuries. Eyewitnesses report that a group of approximately 20 men, described as migrants, attacked festival attendees with extreme brutality.

The escalation reportedly began following a minor altercation and an incident involving trespassing on private property. Witnesses described attackers using broken beer bottles and mugs as weapons, with some even using broken glass shards to threaten victims. Six of the nine injured individuals required hospitalization due to the severity of their wounds, which included injuries sustained from being struck with heavy objects.

Following the attack, the group fled in four vehicles. Although police intercepted one vehicle in Döbeln and identified individuals, they were not immediately detained. Residents have also reported receiving subsequent threats, including warnings to remain silent under threat of arson.
