Beidou Dian'an Temple begins 600 million TWD cultural park construction

Construction has officially commenced on the Beidou Dian'an Temple Religious Culture Park in Changhua County, Taiwan. The project, which carries a total budget exceeding 600 million TWD, is being entirely self-funded by the Dian'an Temple.

The development aims to preserve and revitalize local cultural assets by reconstructing the historical Beidou Dian'an Temple building. The site will also feature a seven-story cultural building, a visitor center, and both underground and surface parking lots.

The original temple was designated as a historic site in 1985 but was later moved to the Taiwan Folklore Village in 1990 due to changing historical contexts. Following its registration as a historical building in 2013, efforts were made to bring the structure back to its original home in Beidou. Local officials attended the groundbreaking ceremony to witness this milestone in cultural heritage preservation.
