Beiersdorf cites Middle East conflict as cause of Gulf sales and delivery disruptions

Beiersdorf, the maker of Nivea, said the ongoing conflict in the Middle East is disrupting sales and product deliveries in key Gulf markets, specifically Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Chief Executive Vincent Warnery explained that the company has been unable to deliver some products to those countries, adding that the situation is affecting both costs and consumer demand. He noted that the firm is closely monitoring oil markets after the recent escalation between the United States and Iran, which pushed oil prices higher, though not to the levels the company had feared. Beiersdorf also trimmed its full‑year outlook, citing a difficult market environment and a slower‑than‑expected recovery for its core Nivea brand.
