Beifa AI smart glasses to launch in Japan with offline translation

Paradox Co., Ltd. has announced the upcoming exclusive pre-sale of the Beifa AI Smart Glasses GE01-3 on the crowdfunding platform Makuake, starting in late August 2026. Developed by the global stationery manufacturer Beifa Group, the device is designed for daily practical use, intentionally omitting screens and cameras to prioritize privacy and comfort.

The smart glasses utilize ChatGPT to provide hands-free real-time translation for up to 165 languages. A key feature is its ability to perform offline translation, allowing users to communicate without a smartphone internet connection or in airplane mode. Other capabilities include AI-driven transcription, summarization, and automatic mind map generation.

Weighing approximately 32g, the glasses feature an open-ear acoustic design for multitasking and include interchangeable lenses, such as polarized and night vision options. While the general retail price is set for January 2027 at 37,400 yen, Makuake supporters can access significant discounts during the pre-sale period.
