Beigang 1911 Haoku Park begins construction of ‘Arbor Crown E+Go’ art installation

The Yunlin County Government held a groundbreaking ceremony for the ‘Arbor Crown E+Go’ installation at the Beigang 1911 Haoku Cultural Industrial Park. The project features three metal dome structures, ranging from 7 to 10 meters in height, designed by international artist Cai Erping.

Cai, who was born in Beigang, drew inspiration from local Mazu religious beliefs, the history of the former sugar factory, and the region's natural wetland ecology. The artwork aims to revitalize the century-old sugar factory site, transforming it from an industrial relic into a cultural and tourism landmark that connects historical memory with contemporary art.

The installation is expected to be completed by the end of this year and will complement existing art pieces within the park, such as ‘Light of Auspicious Clouds’.
