Beşiktaş condemns commentator over Orkun Kökçü remarks

Beşiktaş JK has issued a formal condemnation against commentator Kaya Çilingiroğlu following remarks made about team captain Orkun Kökçü on the TRT Spor program ‘Yüz Yüze Futbol’.

The club stated that Çilingiroğlu’s comments exceeded the boundaries of criticism and constituted unfair accusations. In an official statement, Beşiktaş accused the commentator of attempting to disrupt the club’s peace during a period of success.

The club further criticized the focus on Kökçü rather than addressing perceived refereeing errors that have affected the team throughout the season. Beşiktaş called on commentators at TRT to adhere to the principles of objectivity, equality, and media ethics, while reaffirming its full support for Kökçü.
