Beşiktaş defeats Bayern Munich in EuroLeague matchup

Beşiktaş men's basketball team secured a 95-87 victory against Bayern Munich in the sixth week of the EuroLeague. Head coach Dusan Alimpijevic praised his team's defensive performance, specifically noting how they limited Bayern's high-scoring players, Andreas Obst and Duane Washington, to a combined 10 points from three-pointers.

Alimpijevic highlighted the team's character in overcoming a period where Bayern erased a 28-point lead. He attributed the momentum shift to the intense EuroLeague schedule, injuries, and foul trouble, including an injury to playmaker Dotson. Despite these challenges, the win marks Beşiktaş's third victory in the competition.

During the game, a moment of tension occurred on the bench involving Turkish national player Metecan Birsen. Following a substitution after defensive errors, Birsen reportedly headed toward the locker room in frustration. After briefly returning to the bench, coach Alimpijevic sent him back to the locker room.
