Beşiktaş targets PSG goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier in €40 million bid

After a disappointing season, Turkish club Beşiktaş has opened transfer negotiations for 24‑year‑old goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier, who currently plays for Paris Saint‑Germain. The club’s sporting director Önder Özen and new coach Vincenzo Italiano have identified the goalkeeper position as a top priority, alongside defensive and midfield reinforcements.

Chevalier arrived at PSG from Lille in 2022 for a €40 million fee and is under contract until 2030. Reports say Beşiktaş is assessing his transfer conditions, acknowledging that a move would be difficult but not impossible. PSG has not made a final decision, and Tottenham Hotspur is also reportedly interested. If the transfer proceeds, Chevalier would become one of the most expensive signings in Beşiktaş’s recent history, aiming to help the club compete for the Turkish league title next season.
