Beşiktaş legend Süleyman Seba's Istanbul home set for sale, fans call for museum

The former residence of Süleyman Seba, the revered honorary president of Turkish football club Beşiktaş, is being prepared for sale after the legal inheritance process was completed. The 100‑square‑metre apartment in the Akaretler neighbourhood of Istanbul, which Seba occupied from 1984 until his death, will be transferred to the Turkish Treasury and offered on the market.

Beşiktaş supporters, former players and club officials have urged that the property be preserved as a "Süleyman Seba Museum House" to display his personal items, photographs and trophies. The call follows a court ruling that dismissed claims by two alleged heirs, clearing the way for the Treasury to take ownership. The club and its fan community are monitoring the sale and advocating for the house to become a permanent tribute to Seba’s legacy in Turkish sport.
